Spirit-first improvisation. Modal soundscapes for the seasons when music is the only thing that understands you.
"Damn the rules — it's the feeling that counts."
You're in the right place.
I'm Tito — a Puerto Rican-American ambient saxophonist and state-certified peer support specialist in Cleveland, Ohio. Drawing on mystical experience, contemplative Christian faith, and Taíno roots, I play spirit-first, swimming in what Toru Takemitsu called the sea of tonality: improvisation over my own arrangements, with advanced harmony as the poetic language. I wrote The Saxophonist's Compendium and The Emotional Star Map, and I play out in Cleveland's jazz and improv scene. Sam Newsome, Takemitsu, Debussy, Satie, Beethoven, Tomasz Stańko, and Stephan Micus shape my ear; Coltrane and Miles Davis remain my muses.
The Emotional Star Map, The Saxophonist's Compendium, A Contemplative Music Practice in a Box, and peer support sessions — every one built to help your music sound like you.
